WHAT IS GIRLS’ GROUP? An after-school program for girls in Years 4-6.
WHAT DO WE DO? It’s a place where girls can come together, hang out, and just be girls. After girls have been safely collected from school, we take a short walk to the local grocer, buy some afternoon tea, maybe stop at the park, walk back to Village Church, and spend the afternoon having fun (playing boardgames, getting out our jumping castle) and learning new skills (cooking, baking, drawing lessons, hairstyling, etc.). We also spend a little time each week learning from the Bible in order to help girls nurture their spiritual side and for character building.
WHEN IS IT ON? Our leaders collect the girls from school at 3pm (Annandale North and Annandale public schools), and then walk them to Village Church. Girls group runs from 3 to 6pm.
WHERE IS IT HELD? Village Church Annandale (corner of Johnston & Booth streets).
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Girls group is free. Girls are simply asked to bring their own cash each week to purchase their afternoon snacks.
WE COLLECT KIDS FROM SCHOOL We walk the girls from school to Village Church, so you don’t have to!
All Village Church leaders who work with kids and youth are approved by the NSW Commission for Children and Young People. Our teams of leaders are made up of Village Church staff, Village Church apprentices, and volunteers who are members of Village Church.
