Come and See – An amazing vision of Jesus
W
e are looking forward to our ‘Amazing Vision of Jesus’ series starting soon on the book of Revelation.
Someone asked on their comment card after last Sunday’s talk on ‘God’s Blessing’ the question ‘Is there anything we can do to be blessed or is blessing eternal life and that should be enough?’ This topic is raised by the opening verses of Revelation 1: ‘Blessed is the one who reads and blessed are those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep what is written in it, because the time is near!’ (Revelation 1:3) A way to be blessed to read and hear the words of the prophecy of the book of Revelation and to keep what is written in it. I hope that you will read ahead and reflect on what is said there.

Christmas in the inner west
Inner West people are spiritual folks. We all reach out with our imaginations to see what God is like, or isn’t like.
But Christmas is about God breaking into the world we live in. Yep, even into our little corner of it – our hip cafes, our mazed streets and graffiti-strewn walls.
It was angels that announced the birth of God’s son Jesus in very unsophisticated circumstances in Nazareth, Palestine 2,000 years ago.
Come and discover the angel’s original message at your neighbourhood church this Christmas. Who knows. You might find he’s more
interesting than you ever imagined.
